We anticipate that CTE Revit grants will possibly be open again in Spring 2026. The future of the funding depends on the legislative short session. Most likely, the funding period my be reduced, capital and construction costs would be prohibited, and the turnaround time for the application will be quick. More information to come on this!

The State Summer Learning Grant is transitioning from a formula grant to a *competitive, multi-year grant beginning in 2026 to more closely align with the intent and structure of HB 2007 (2025). A competitive grant process ensures that all eligible entities have a clear and equitable pathway to apply, while allowing the direction of limited state resources to the programs that demonstrate the strongest plans for high-quality, evidence-based summer learning aligned to local needs. Multi-year grant awards (providing funding for summers 2026, 2027, and 2028) provide predictable funding to support staffing, partnerships, and long-term planning.

*The competitive grant process is specifically for school districts, education service districts (ESDs), and charter schools. A separate grant process has been established for Tribal Nations, as described in the Tribal Nation Grant Application section below.

The official Request for Applications (RFA) will be released as soon as possible. 2026 Grant awards will provide funding for summers 2026, 2027, and 2028 and are anticipated to be announced the week of March 16-20, 2026.

Application Process Overview

1. All eligible entities will be awarded Priority Points based on English Language Arts (ELA) proficiency rates and additional data points designed to prioritize high-need entities. The Priority Point calculations will be released with the RFA to inform eligible entities from the beginning of the application process.
2. All school districts, ESDs, and charter schools are eligible to submit an application. As part of the application, applicants will submit a program budget to request an annual grant amount (up to $1 million) aligned with the proposed programming and projected students served.
3. Applications will be scored by a peer review panel based on program quality, use of research-aligned practices, response to local needs, and likeliness of realizing grant goals.
4. Each applicant's Review Panel Score will be added to their Priority Points to determine the Final Application Score used to award funds. Award amounts may be right-sized to the proposed program capacity and impact.

Technical Assistance Program (TAP) grants for 2026 will open on January 15, 2026. $1.5 million in funding will be allocated. Current information:

• TAP grants provide districts and Education Service Districts with funding to assess their facilities.
• Available grants include Long-Range Facility Planning ($40,000), Seismic Assessment ($25,000), and Asbestos Hazard Assessment ($25,000).
• TAP will also offer a new Engineered Wood Truss Systems Assessment grant ($10,000–$25,000).

These funds are intended to help local organizations bring the benefits of sport to their communities, giving kids an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of quality play and active lives, and creating stronger communities where sports and physical activity are a highly-valued part of everyday life. 

Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $25,000.

The Akamai Foundation is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of technology innovators by supporting STEM education, with a focus on the pursuit of excellence in mathematics in grades K-12. Grants focus on equal access to quality STEM education with grants supporting programs designed to attract more diversity to the technology industry.

Grant awards range from $15,000 to $25,000.

These grants are intended to fund projects in specific communities. 

Sherwood: Applications open in January https://www.sherwoodoregon.gov/community-enhancement-program/

This grant supports funding to provide sports equipment to schools that have afterschool sports programs, have a population of 60% or more of students qualified for free/reduced lunch program, and are in need of new equipment.  Schools must serve grades 6-8 and run their sports programs after school.

Grant awards will be determined by the vendor quotes obtained by the school district.

Due by: January 15th for Spring sports. April 15th for Fall sports.
