Northwest Parenting is a regional collaborative that delivers parenting education programs, educational workshops, family engagement opportunities and support for school success to families in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties.  We strive to create meaningful connections among families, deepen their understanding of early childhood development, and equip them with valuable tools to support their children’s growth and learning.

Northwest Regional Parenting is based on three concepts:

  1. A parent is a child’s first and most important teacher. 

  2. Parenting is difficult, but knowledge and support can help.

  3. Every parent can benefit from learning new skills. 

The mission of this work is to connect families and engage communities by promoting quality parenting education.

Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by providing families with free books. Children from birth to age five are eligible in Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook Counties. Funding for this program is provided by performer Dolly Parton,  Columbia Pacific Coordinated Care Organization, Northwest Early Learning Hub, United Way of Columbia County and donations from local community partners.
