The SchooLinks platform includes access to a regional industry partner database. Available to northwest Oregon SchooLinks users is a database which features vetted industries. During the onboarding process, industries will share their engagement availability, which is viewable only to school staff. Notably, industry partners can also post events and opportunities available to students.

FAQs

Are there other costs districts need to pay to participate?
Yes. The per-student fee is only one part of the total cost of sending students to outdoor school. Districts may also be responsible for:
- Transportation – including buses for general education, students with disabilities, or those attending on modified schedules (e.g., day-only or single-day participation)
- One-on-one aides or support staff for students
- Accessibility equipment or accommodations
- Language interpretation and translation services
- Substitute coverage for district staff attending camp
- Additional supplies or materials specific to student needs
Please note: We have all-terrain wheelchairs at each of our five sites for use with no-cost to schools.
Are training modules available?

Yes. You can access online training modules through SchooLinks.
Can different due dates be set for different grade levels for the same indicator on the scope and sequence? Or does each indicator need to have the same due date for each grade level?

Yes, there can be different due dates by grade level. After you have configured a task, you can edit the task by clicking on the pencil icon for the grade level you want to edit. Change the date for the grade level (do not click on any of the other grade levels with a green check mark) and then click “Save Configuration”. Here’s a video that walks through the process.
Can our district secure additional funding?
Yes, but the funding is restricted to specific purposes. Oregon State University Extension offers supplemental “inclusion” funding to ensure all students can fully participate in outdoor school, regardless of language, disability or other needs.

This funding is not designated to replace the 2025-26 funding reductions. Instead, it helps cover the added costs of supporting students with higher needs, such as:
- specialized transportation (e.g., wheelchair-accessible buses or buses for students attending just during the day)
- one-on-one aides or interpreters (including ASL)
- accessibility equipment (e.g., adaptive seating, mobility supports, assistive technology)
In addition, OSUE allows for school- or district-level funding corrections and exception requests if:
- Enrollment increases after initial allocations are made.
- Errors or discrepancies are found in funding calculations.
- Districts need to move funds between schools.

Can SchooLinks generate student reports similar to a gradebook view that shows which activities each student has completed?

For any of the activities assigned to students through Scope and Sequence, you can export a “Completion” report. Go to Analytics → Scope and Sequence Analytics. On the right hand side you will see a “Export” button. Click this, and you will export a completion report for the grade level needed. There are also lots of reports to check out in the Report Center. Go to Analytics → Report Center to see what’s available.
