We are excited to help you register for our Dual Credit Course designed specifically for Student Leaders like you! This unique opportunity allows you to earn 0.5 elective high school credits through ORVED and 3 college credits through Portland Community College (PCC), all at no cost to you. The course is hosted on Google Classroom.

Please note that though this is a free course for you if you register and you do not complete the course you will automatically receive a F on your transcript. This transfers/carries over to any college/university that you attend in the future. You WILL be starting your next phase of school with a F already, if the course is not completed. We cannot unenroll anyone from the course.

After a week of Outdoor School, you will receive an email with attachments that include the official PCC syllabus for the course information and the PCC Dual Credit Admissions & Registration Guide in English and Spanish. It outlines the course structure, process, objectives, and assessment criteria.

Registration Process:

To enroll in the course, you will need to complete two separate registration processes:

  1. Personality Test Reflection
  2. Attend a Week on Site
  3. Add "Student Leader" to Your Resume
  4. Reflection Essay (400-550 words)
  5. NOSS Exit Survey

• Deadline: All coursework is due by Friday, January 9th, 2026. We encourage you to complete assignments as soon as possible.

We believe this dual credit course will not only provide you with valuable insights and skills but also open doors for your academic and personal growth. 

As a reminder - if you register for this course you WILL receive a final grade on your transcript. This transfers to any/all colleges & universities. We cannot unenroll you if something comes up and/or you do not complete assignments. Therefore, if you sign-up but end up not attending a week of NOSS OR you do not complete your work within the course you WILL receive a F on your transcript. Additionally, if you’ve already received these PCC credits, you cannot enroll again - it’s a one-time course.
