About Us

The career and college readiness team aims to expand college credit, career technical education (CTE), and career connected learning for all students in NWRESD’s four-county region.

The team includes three professional learning coaches and a project management specialist. We value collaborative partnership and encourage educators to engage in our professional development and professional learning communities (career guidance collaborative and a mentorship for new CTE teachers.)

In addition to the learning communities, we have team-built resources such as career kits, a job shadow toolkit, and an apprenticeship guide. We also provide some direct student programming. Historically, we have hosted rising 9th graders work-based learning events, 11th/12th grade summer bridge to career programs, and career fairs. Review the resources in our Resource Library by clicking on the link or selecting it from the sidebar menu. Programming like this often demands funding outside of our operating budget and we are often on the search for grants. To learn more about grant opportunities and support, connect with NWRESD’s grant development team.

With a systemic and collaborative approach to identifying career/college readiness solutions, we are open, available, and willing to provide support to your school if needed. To start the conversation, complete this form or email us.
