A multi-tiered system of supports helps educators support students in a way that is tailored to the student's needs. Educators work together to review every student's progress and then provide the appropriate level of support to that student through system-wide changes and strategic supports. 

A data system is not required to run a successful multi-tiered system of supports, but it can be a useful tool for doing the work. NWRESD has developed Danza, an MTSS system to support our component school districts. By centralizing data and providing real-time insights, Danza makes it easier for educators to monitor outcomes, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. 

 

Danza helps schools identify students who need support, document interventions, and monitor growth across multiple data areas, including:
  • Early Literacy: DIBELS, Acadience, FastBridge, i-Ready Literacy Tasks, STAR CBM, MAP Fluency among others.
  • Interim Assessments: MAP Growth, STAR, i-Ready Inform
  • Attendance: Daily attendance data from Synergy
  • Grades: Pulled directly from the Synergy Gradebook
