We strive to set our Student Leaders up for success within and beyond our program. Explore the resources below to learn how to make the most of your time with us.

Before your week on site:

Medication Information:

This policy ensures safe and legal administration of all medication.
You must have your medical form signed and brought to buses the start of your leading.

All vitamins and supplements need a doctor’s note for administration.
Without a note our nurses cannot give the medication.
These commonly include melatonin, lactaid, and any multivitamins.
All prescription medication must have a pharmacy label attached to its original container.
- Dose must match label
  - The dosage instruction on the original pharmacy label must precisely match the dose the student is taking.
  - If there is any difference (e.g., label says "1 tablet," but the student takes "1/2 tablet"), a new label or a signed, dated order from the prescribing provider with the updated instructions is required.

After your week on site:

Volunteering for us as a Student Leader opens the door to many other opportunities;

For nearly 20 years, we've partnered with PCC to offer our Student Leaders the opportunity to earn college credits. Our Student Leaders can apply for 3 college credits along with high school credits. Further information can be found on our Dual Credit page.

Employers are intrigued when they see "Outdoor School" on a resume and the experience helps you build the soft skills they are looking for. Use our Resume Building Guide and increase your chances of landing an interview.

If you are interested in working with preschool aged children, you can advance in the certification process by spending a week with us. For more information, Check out our Student Leader ECE Kit
