NWRESD Foundation Reception Raises $22k for Kids!

Post Date:04/07/2026 9:03 AM

Thank you for helping make our Help Kids Rise Gala such a great success. Because of your generosity, we raised $22,000!

It was a truly memorable night, highlighted by powerful stories from two educators whose students have directly benefited from foundation grants. Jenna Allen, a behavior specialist, and JJ Isaacson, a teacher of the visually impaired, shared how foundation grants are helping students learn how to play musical instruments and experience more inclusive storytimes. In case you missed it, check out Jenna’s video about the music program she’s building at Cascade Academy

Your energy and dedication to our work is inspiring. Because of you, children and educators across our region are gaining new opportunities, resources and support -- and we are so grateful.

JJ Isaacson, a teacher of the visually impaired, gave attendees a powerful glimpse into what storytime feels like for a blind student -- when they are fully included and when they are not. With support from a grant, students with vision impairments now have access to storyboxes filled with objects and tactile items. As the teacher reads, students can explore the story through touch, creating a richer, more inclusive experience. Photos by Jenna Jones / NWRESD.

We know you have many choices when it comes to making a donation, so we are honored by your generosity.

For those who couldn’t attend, you can still give! The more funds we collect, the more grants we will be able to distribute in the fall.
