How to Conduct Story Circles - Introductory Training

Educators in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook and Washington counties are invited to attend a free, introductory training on how to conduct a story circle. Story circles create meaningful community among educators and families. This approach to community engagement focuses on the powerful — often healing — impact that storytelling has in relationship building. It can be a very effective communication tool, leading to stronger classrooms, schools and communities.

We are offering this training at three different times on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12 to accommodate busy schedules. The first training will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, the second will be 1-3:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, and the third will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 12.

Ms. Rose McGee, author of "Story Circle Stories," will lead the training.

Email Inger McDowell-Hartye to attend.

Captions will be provided. If you need additional accommodations to attend, please email Inger McDowell-Hartye at least five days before the event.
