The mission of Cascade Academy is to provide a safe environment and positive relationships with specially trained staff to teach students the individualized skills they need to be successful both in school and within the larger community.
About Cascade Academy
Cascade Academy serves sixth-12th grade students from a variety of local school districts. Cascade is an academic program with robust behavioral supports, and every student is on an Individualized Education Plan.
Students at Cascade receive individualized behavior support as well as academics at their instructional levels. Staff at Cascade are highly trained and place positive working relationships with students at the center of all they do.
The program uses Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS) and Restorative Justice (RJ) principles program-wide.

About the academic support we provide:
Academics at Cascade are individualized to meet student needs. Students are assessed using the Measure of Academic Proficiency three times per year to track their academic progress. Students at Cascade can pursue a standard or a modified diploma.
About the behavior support we provide:
Cascade is a Positive Behavior Intervention Support school with school-wide expectations, positive reinforcement and a structure in place to address when school expectations are not met. There is a level system (1-4) in place that takes attendance, grades, daily behavior data and referrals into consideration. Students grades and levels are reviewed weekly.
