SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS

We provide specialized services and support to children from age birth through 5 who are experiencing developmental disabilities or delays.

From birth to age 3, our Early Intervention program provides services and supports to children at home or in other caregiving settings. Our educators use a parent-coaching model, which empowers parents to become more confident and competent caregivers.

From age 3-5, our Early Childhood Special Education programs provide specialized instruction and services such as physical, occupational, speech and/or language therapy. These services are often provided at community preschools, child care facilities or other designated sites.

SERVICES FOR EDUCATORS AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS
We provide a variety of business, human resources and Spanish translation and interpretation services to the 20 school districts within the four county-region we serve. Through a collaborative effort with Columbia Gorge, Multnomah and Willamette education service districts, we also provide technology services to 53 school districts. This effort is known as the Cascade Technology Alliance (CTA) and has helped us enhance quality while reducing costs. Through CTA, we also provide substitute services for 37 districts.

Our professional learning team works with students, educators, administrators and community members to facilitate deep and culturally sustaining learning. Focus areas currently include early learning, school culture and climate and ninth grade success. Learn more about our professional learning network >>
